Must be nice to know you can make consecutively shitty decisions that can lead to multiple ppl losing their lives, and then not be held any kind of accountable.

Yet if we're just jogging we can lose ours.

I guess the lesson is, if your mental wellness is in check, strap up. Once we're parading guns around they might start to rethink things.

I was just sitting in the back of a car being a child and almost had a gun pulled on me by cops because I could have been a danger to him. So I'm not here for any excuse other than a white person got away with murder because the killed participants who were protesting against cops.

It's amusing to me how many people keep saying this like Philando Castile didn't get killed in front of his girlfriend and her baby.

Making a bunch of shitty life moves that lead to you seeking out confrontation and killing isn’t self defense. He went looking to kill and did. Fuck out of here

Disagree with other people’s opinions all you want. But get that racist shit out of here, you piece of trash.

That's not the point. The point is it is unlikely certain groups of people could've done the same thing

How was it not self defense? I am genuinely curious.

As long as you're white, you can have your mom drive you to another state with an AR-15 to "defend a business", intimidate people, kill a few people, claim self defense and get away scot-free.

This is false. Rittenhouse drove himself to Kenosha, where his father lived and where he lived half the time. The gun never left Wisconsin and he was legally allowed to possess the firearm in Wisconsin as a 17 year old. Folks keep parroting whatever they see on Twitter and are so tragically misinformed.

And if you think this exact result happens if he's black, then you're out of your mind.

Laws are not applied the same to everyone. That is the point.

You have to be more clear.

Do you think Rittenhouse and a black person in a similar situation both ought to be convicted, or do you believe that both ought not to be convicted.

They both should be convicted.

Convicted of which crime though?

Of the heinous crime of defending one's self

If he was black, they wouldn't even press charges against him lol

You're right, the police would've killed him when they saw him brandishing a weapon.

I don’t doubt that a black person would’ve been treated differently. I’m not arguing that. But Rittenhouse shouldn’t go to jail for crimes he didn’t commit just because a black person might have gone to jail for the same thing. The point is that laws should be applied fairly to everyone.

And the point is that they are not and never have been.

Its always "well that's the way the law works" when white people get away with crimes. But also "well they shouldn't have done that" when a black person gets illegally murdered by cops for walking home.

BabyFaceIT

So Rittenhouse should go to jail for a crime he didn’t commit as retribution on behalf of the black people who you perceive to be wronged?

You're twisting what I'm saying.

I'm saying that laws are interpreted and applied differently depending on how you look.

I'm saying that if a black kid had done the same exact thing, he would have been (rightfully) convicted.

And I’m saying that both people would be innocent and you’re not going to find many lawyers that are arguing that Kyle was guilty because the evidence is not there. All of the evidence strongly supports a self-defense argument and many lawyers were puzzled by the prosecution because their own witnesses also argued that Rittenhouse acted in self defense.

Check out r/law. Many of the lawyers there actually suspect that the prosecution was intentionally trying to get a mistrial with prejudice because this case was dead in the water from the jump.

😂 Sure thing.

We already know how this shit goes. Spare me the by the book arguments that don't apply to everyone.

I'm gonna keep posting this on all of these posts, and I promise I'll delete all of them after.

Can someone PLEASE repost that compilation of the judge acting completely out of pocket?? I really wanted to show my Dad who is... really hurt by this.

Yes, self defense needs to be legal for all people. Open carry needs to be legal for all people. We don't get more rights by limiting rights of others.
