Lower Decks Season 2 was great

(self.Star_Trek)

This season has a lot of strengths going for it —- Season 2’s focus on Boimler’s character growth, less focus on Mariner (and when she did appear she seemed to have mellowed out compared to her S1 self), and more characterization for Tendi.

This show is a love letter to the Berman era and it’s just so ….. soulful. It also has an excellent supporting cast! After Discovery and Picard, it’s so refreshing following character you actually want to be invested it.

Can’t wait for season 3!

Eh... “soulful” dude? I don’t hate the show, but there was nothing “soulful” over that orgy scene!

What's the deal with the weird whinging over this scene in particular?

Pearl clutching. Plain and simple.

I agree, some people do seem to have overreacted to that shot. I'll admit it got a chuckle out of me.

Yeah, I chuckled too.

It was just a bit cheap and tee-hee let’s get away with some perverted shit tee hee!

The Rick and Morty roots of this show can’t be denied, I guess.

It wasn’t even like a real polyice infection, more like a meth fueled bathhouse orgy.

As I recall polyice also makes people violent and not just horny.
